Following their victory over Old Alleynians at Dulwich in the 1st round, OMT continue their 2012 Cricketer Cup Campaign with a 2nd Round Tie v St Edward's Martyrs at Oxford on Sunday 1st July at 11.30 am.
OMT’s team at Oxford, led by captain Jawwad Rasheed, will be largely unchanged from that which played in the 1st Round with a combination of experienced and young players, who regularly play a high standard of cricket in the ECB Premier League structure or at University.
OMT Captain Jawwad Rasheed says: “We must maintain our momentum from our 2011 success and 2012 1st Round victory at Dulwich. We are therefore focused on ensuring that we are well prepared, and aim to produce an improved standard and intensity of play from some of that at Dulwich in order to overcome strong opponents at Oxford on Sunday, and thus progress to the latter stages of the 2012 competition.”
The winners of OMT’s 2nd Round tie are drawn at home to Harrow Wanderers or Old Cheltonians in the ¼ Final Round on Sunday 15th July.
