OMT v Felsted Robins - Cricketer Cup Quarter-Final

Welcome back to the OMT Cricketer Cup blog.

It's a bright but cloudy day here at Merchant Taylors', not the scorcher we had for the last round against Oundle. There was a light shower last night and there's a small chance of some more during the day. But overall the forecast is not too bad and I'm sure we'll get a full game in.

The wicket has of course been covered and looks hard and dry.

The OMT team has been confirmed as: Jawwad Rasheed (C), Ash Mehta (w/k), Adam Brand, Ravi Patel, Andrew Sharland, Ed Lamb, Richard Wise, Will Carter, Richard Booth, Kavit Patel and Sohan Modi.

Shame our first round hero Simon Noach and James Corbett have unavoidable commitments elsewhere, but Booth is back from holiday and our very own KP makes his debut having enjoyed a rich vein of form with the ball recently.

We don't know very much about our opponents today other than that they had convincing wins against Rugby and Winchester in the first two rounds.

It's been a while since OMT has reached this stage of the competition and Team manager PDN has had an angst filled week trying to make sure that everything is just so both on and off the field. I'm sure "it'll be alright on the night" as they say.

The match starts at 11.30am. Come on OMT!
